Our target retrieval system (ORT Advanced) is designed to enhance dynamic and scalable training in indoor shooting ranges. Catering to military and law enforcement live fire training; this target retrieval system supports training at various shooting distances. Featuring a 360° turning target mechanism, the target retrieval system allows for presenting friend or foe scenarios, aiding in critical decision-making training. This improves shooting accuracy and sharpens the essential skills of quick judgment under pressure, encapsulating the crucial "Shoot – Don't Shoot" decision-making process.
Thetarget retrieval system offers versatile control options to enhance training efficiency. Each firing lane is equipped with a lane controller, which facilitates manual control through a control panel. This setup allows for real-time communication and feedback to the mover carriage, and the controller can be programmed to halt the target carriage at various distances or execute different training scenarios.
Additionally, the system can be operated remotely through a Range Control System, using either a hardwired or wireless communication link, such as a wireless tablet PC. This flexibility ensures seamless operation and adaptation to diverse training needs.
The target holder is equipped with a sophisticated contact hit sensor that detects and counts all mechanical impacts from incoming projectiles on the target silhouette. This sensor can record hits from subsonic and supersonic projectiles across all calibers of live-fire ammunition, including pistols, rifles, machine guns, and training rounds.
Additionally, the sensor features an adjustable hit detection sensitivity, allowing for the calibration of impact thresholds to ensure that only projectile impacts above a specified force are registered as hits.
The sensor also supports various firing modes, including single shot and burst mode. In burst mode, a burst of fire is counted as a single hit, facilitating an accurate assessment of firing outcomes.
The target retrieval system can be enhanced with an illumination unit to light up the target silhouette. This unit includes a multifunction light source that offers several options, allowing for illumination in various colors. It can simulate different lighting conditions and effects, such as a flashlight or police light, to create more realistic training scenarios.
