The Range Control Laptop & Tablet Solution provides a portable, flexible way to operate shooting ranges directly in the field. Designed for military, law enforcement, and mobile training contexts, it enables instructors to control target systems, manage training scenarios, and monitor live-fire exercises without being tied to a fixed control room.

Running the same advanced shooting range software used across all TTS control platforms, the system supports long-range wireless communication and delivers real-time performance feedback in different terrain and environmental conditions. The rugged tablet features a detachable backlit keyboard, a multifunction handle, and a comprehensive range of carrying accessories, making it appropriate for making it appropriate for indoor facilities and demanding outdoor training contexts.
RANGE CONTROL COMPUTER

Range control computer

The Range Control Computer is the central control solution for permanent and semi-permanent shooting range installations, providing operators with complete control over target systems, training scenarios, and live-fire exercises. Designed for use in range observation rooms and control towers, it enables instructors to efficiently manage all connected range equipment from a single workstation.

Powered by the TTS shooting range management software, the system supports permanent, semi-permanent, and mobile target systems while delivering real-time monitoring, scenario control, and performance evaluation. Multiple monitors can be connected to create an efficient operator workspace. A typical dual-screen configuration displays the shooting range layout and target status on one screen, while the second provides access to range control functions, scenario programming, and the active training sequence.
RANGE CONTROL SOFTWARE

Range control software

The TTS Range Control Software is the core of our shooting range management system, providing centralized control, live monitoring, and advanced scenario management for live-fire training. Designed for military, law enforcement, government, and commercial shooting ranges, the software enables instructors to efficiently control target systems, monitor range activity, and manage complex training exercises from a single clear interface.

The software supports up to 1,024 connected target systems and can be operated from dedicated range-control computers, laptops, tablets, or mobile range-control vehicles. Multi-monitor support provides operators with a full overview of the shooting range, typically displaying the range layout and target status on one screen while presenting range control functions, scenario programming, and the active training sequence on another. When used on a tablet, a dedicated touchscreen interface provides efficient operation in both indoor facilities and field environments.

To support realistic and flexible training, the Fire Area Editor allows instructors to create and save customized fire zones directly on the range map. These arrangements can be adapted to different training scenarios, weapon types, or ammunition requirements and quickly recalled for future exercises.

The software also includes instructor and trainee management tools that store participant information and training records, allowing faster session preparation and supporting uniform performance evaluation during recurring training programs.
RANGE CONTROL VEHICLE

Range control vehicle

The Range Control Vehicle is a fully self-contained mobile command center designed to manage live-fire training in locations where a permanent range control facility is unavailable or impractical. Built for military and expeditionary training operations, it provides complete control over permanent, semi-permanent, and portable target systems while delivering the same advanced functionality as a fixed shooting range management system.

Based on a military-grade truck platform, the vehicle features a detachable control cabin that can be rapidly deployed on-site. An integrated electric hydraulic lifting system with internal controls and leveling indicators enables quick setup, permitting operators to establish a stable command center in a wide range of terrain and environmental conditions.

Once deployed, the Range Control Vehicle operates independently for more than 60 hours, eliminating the need for a permanent control tower while providing instructors with full access to target control, scenario management, live monitoring, and after-action review capabilities.

Frequently asked questions

A shooting range control system is a central platform that enables instructors to manage every aspect of a live-fire training exercise from a single interface. Rather than controlling individual target devices separately, the system coordinates target presentation, scenario programming, target status monitoring, and performance review across the entire shooting range.

The TTS Shooting Range Control System combines advanced shooting range software with dedicated control hardware, including range control computers, portable laptops and tablets, and fully integrated mobile control vehicles. This approach allows military, law enforcement, government, and commercial training facilities to operate more efficiently while creating realistic, repeatable training scenarios and supporting comprehensive after-action reviews.

Shooting range management software is the core of a modern range control system. It enables instructors to create and manage training scenarios, control connected target systems, monitor live-fire exercises in real time, and evaluate shooter performance from a single interface. By centralizing these functions, the software improves training efficiency and provides greater flexibility when planning and conducting training sessions.

The TTS Range Control Software supports up to 1,024 connected target systems and combines seamlessly with moving targets, turning targets, stationary targets, LOMAH scoring systems, and other range equipment. Additional features such as customizable fire areas, instructor and trainee management, scenario programming, and after-action review tools make it a complete shooting range management system for professional training facilities.

Yes. The TTS Shooting Range Control System is designed to operate a wide variety of target systems through one centralized software platform.
