This stationary infantry target (SIT) is designed to elevate target silhouettes in fixed positions. The precise control mechanisms enable the targets to pop up and down, emulating soldiers emerging from or returning to cover. This dynamic motion simulates real-life scenarios, challenging trainees to quickly identify and engage with the targets. The target comes in standard and advanced configuration with possibilities of pop-up turning, shearing, slashing, sliding and raising the target.
Our stationary infantry target comes in two main versions: portable and fixed. The fixed version can be set up on the ground or mounted on a wall. Regardless of your choice, both versions offer the flexibility of a height-adjustable mechanism for easy setup. They can either come with a stackable stainless steel frame or be attached to a transport base housing all essential components for operation.
The portable version is typically battery-powered and controlled by radio. One of its advantages is its transport frame, which allows for easy placement without any prior site preparation, as long as it's shielded from direct shots and ricochets. Furthermore, you can change its location without fussing over infrastructure changes.
The target holder features a contact hit sensor that detects and counts any mechanical impact on the target silhouette from incoming projectiles. It's adept at registering both subsonic and supersonic strikes from all calibers of live-fire and training ammunition, including pistols, rifles, and machine guns. Furthermore, the sensor's sensitivity can be adjusted to only recognise impacts exceeding a set threshold. Additionally, it offers two modes: single shot and burst, with the latter counting a rapid series of shots as just one hit.
The stationary infantry target can swiftly move military targets weighing up to 11 lbs ( 5 kg), like full or half-sized 2D & 3D infantry targets, in under a second when there's no wind. In winds of 55 km/h, it can adjust these targets' positions in less than two seconds.
The stationary infantry target is versatile and can be enhanced for diverse training scenarios. It features an illumination unit that can brighten targets for nighttime training, with an option to add infrared lighting. To add to the realism, there's a Muzzle Flash Simulator that replicates the flash seen when weapons fire. For more dynamic training, an optional adaptor allows the target to execute turning actions. Training realism is further amplified with pyrotechnic and non-pyrotechnic fire simulations.
Additionally, a thermal feature is available that overlays a lifelike heat image on targets. For those focused on accuracy, the system integrates a LOMAH feature to precisely track where shots land and highlight close misses. To ensure safety and equipment longevity, a protective ballistic shield can be attached to prevent equipment damage and minimize ricochets.
