Ballistic walls

The Ballistic Walls are a modular system that offers versatile configurations for live-fire Close-Quarter Battle (CQB) training. They effectively separate concurrent training activities, ensuring safe and realistic CQB exercises. Designed to be self-standing and robust, this system withstands attacks with kinetic entry tools, adding a high level of realism to training scenarios.

Key advantages

Ideal for Close Quarter Battle Training

The design specifically caters to Close Quarter Battle (CQB) training, providing a realistic environment for tactical exercises.

Flexible Training Environments with Multi-Room Layouts

Multi-room layouts allow for diverse and complex training scenarios, simulating real-life situations.

Customisable Scenarios with Wall Elements

Wall elements offer the flexibility to create various indoor scenarios, enhancing training realism and effectiveness.

Specialised Training with Entry Frames

Entry frames for the door and window breaching provide hands-on experience in entering and clearing spaces, which is crucial for tactical training.

Adaptable to Various Training Needs

Different configurations are available to suit specific training requirements, ensuring versatility and relevance.

Durable and Independent Structure

Self-standing and robust elements guarantee longevity and stability, which are suitable for intensive training sessions.

Safety and Convenience in Assembly

The design ensures safe and easy assembly, facilitating quick setup and modification for different training exercises.

Wall and entry elements

The panel system is designed to construct various structures such as rooms, corridors, and cupboards. Multiple panels can be interconnected quickly to form multi-room layouts. Each wall panel serves as a division, segmenting one room or area from another. These panels can be arranged in any configuration to mimic real operational environments.

Entry panels also function as divisions, separating rooms or parts of rooms. These panels compliment the wall elements, facilitating door and window-breaching actions in training scenarios. They integrate seamlessly with the wall panels, enhancing the realism and variety of training exercises.

Ballistic protection

The ballistic panels are constructed from armored steel and coated with either 18mm Polyboard or plywood to prevent ricochets. The gearbox's base is bulletproof, and its vertical surfaces are shielded with anti-ricochet plastic wood.

It's important to note that these panels are not designed as bullet traps; targets should not be placed directly in front of them unless a full-stop portable trap is used behind the target.

The panels have been rigorously tested and approved for use at angles ranging from 20-90 degrees relative to the panel. They are certified for the following types of ammunition:
  • 9 mm (ball) L31A1/SX2 at a speed of 365 m/s (±10)
  • 5.56 mm L15A2/L17A2 at 970 m/s (±10)
  • 7.62 mm L44A1 at 830 m/s (±10)
  • Shotgun (Entry) L8A5/L8A6 at 345 m/s (±10)

Ballistic wall assembly

All ballistic walls and frames in the system are connected using lugs to ensure stability. The panels feature a half-lap joint design, accommodating occasional imprecise assembly and uneven flooring.

There are various methods for connecting the panels to create different layouts, each requiring specific hardware. These include:
  • 2 Panel straight join
  • 2 Panel 90 degree join
  • 3 way join
  • 4 way join
Infill, Spacer, and Corner Posts are easily positioned by fitting over the panel top lugs for added locking and stability. To stabilize any wall ending in a free end, an End Post and Stay Blocks are clamped on as needed.

Additionally, a laser carriage unit can be utilized to arrange and verify the perpendicularity of different wall elements, ensuring precise and accurate setup.
